“The Dance of Dragons” Before I wade in here, let me just state because I think it’s important: what happened in Stannis’ camp was not a TV invention. It’s going to happen in the books – we know this because David Benioff talked this week about the way he and […] Read more
Dear Arslan, I feel your pain. Love, Danerys Another interesting and exciting episode of Arslan Senki this week (and yes, more derpy faces in the background shots so no, you don’t need to point it out constantly). As one would expect from Tanaka-sensei (well, and Arakawa-sensei too), the military aspect […] Read more
Dear Maruo: I feel your pain. Love, Roger A hearty congratulations to Stan Wawrinka, who once again stunned the Number 1 player in the world to win a major. This time around there were no health issues – Novak Djokovic was healthy and seemingly at the top of his game, […] Read more
In the name of all that’s holy, Gil, please blow it up. Sidonia no Kishi: Daikyuu Wakusei Seneki – 09 This has been kind of an odd season for Sidonia no Kishi. Compared to the first the story really hasn’t progressed all that much – partly because of an increased […] Read more

If you’ve ever wondered, “What would it be like if Rumiko took psychedelics”, it’s pretty much Kyoukai no Rinne. It’s no secret that I’m enjoying the heck out of this series, which just makes me laugh, plain and simple. That’s something I don’t undervalue, believe me, because there aren’t all […] Read more
No Taichi, No Arata, no problem? I wouldn’t go that far. Change is definitely the theme in Chihayafuru these days. There’s still no sign of Taichi, Chihaya isn’t playing, and the Empress is thinking about the future as much as the present. Maybe it’s a test of how big a […] Read more
I’m kinda glad I was watching that episode on my own… I would be the first to admit that Ore Monogatari!! is walking a very fine line, and has been from the beginning. It would be easy to tip over into the saccharine at any moment (and in fact it’s […] Read more
