Haikyuu!! Second Season – 01
The exclamation points are back!! OP: “I’m A Believer (アイム・ア・ビリーバー)” by SPYAIR I’ll say this for Haikyuu – this is one series that knows how to make an entrance. It blew onto the scene with one of the best premieres of the year in 2014, and it returns with another […] Read more
Haikyuu!! – Jump Festa 2015 Special (OVA)
There are no mysteries and very few surprises with Haikyuu, but that’s certainly not a bad thing. There’s no question in my mind that Haikyuu is the spiritual successor to Ookiku Furikabutte (which is actually still ongoing). They’re both series that celebrate the loveable goofiness of the teenage male to […] Read more
Haikyuu!! – 25 (End) and Series Review
End? Yeah, right! If you’d told me one sports anime was going to have a second season end card today, I’d sure have bet on the one that didn’t rather than the one that did. But fans of Haikyuu!! (in honor of the final episode I’ll use the exclamation points, […] Read more

Weekly Digest 8/24/14 – Diamond no Ace, Haikyuu!!
Sorry, but anyone who doesn’t realize Sugawara is the best Crow fails at life. Diamond no Ace – 45 I swear I had no idea that the coach of Sakurazawa Technical was referred to as “Professor” (Kyouju) when I referred to him last week as a titan (Kyoujin). He just […] Read more
Weekly Digest, H x H Day of Mourning Edition – Diamond no Ace, Haikyuu!!
Life – and anime – goes on… Diamond no Ace – 44 Really, the Sensen game has from the beginning been a process of them sliding over and making way for the teams that matter. It’s all about Tanba and Eijun and how they perform, and Sensen was just the […] Read more
Weekly Digest 8/10/14 – Diamond no Ace, Haikyuu!!
Those were the best dumps I’ve seen in ages. Diamond no Ace – 43 It’s no surprise at all that this was the best episode of Diamond no Ace we’ve seen for several weeks. Like any ensemble series it’s better when it focuses on its best characters, but more than […] Read more
