One of the shows in this digest made some real progress this week, and it should be pretty obvious which one it was… Gundam AGE – 13 This seems to have been the episode that Gundam fans were waiting for, and it’s easy to see why. You can look at […] Read more
I think JC Staff, realizing that too much time has passed for “Shana” to ever return to its glory days as a commercial success, has pretty well decided to stop worrying and love the bomb. At this point they don’t seem too concerned with anything except throwing as much Shana-porn […] Read more
Shakugan no Shana III – 11 Shakugan no Shana has really hit its stride, with the last few episodes offering up arguably the best run since the first season. I confess, I didn’t expect Margery and Satou to be the first main couple to get it on, but since it’s […] Read more
Welcome to another slice-of-life Tuesday… Kimi to Boku – 11 I’ll give Kimi to Boku credit for worming its way into my brain a little – I’m going to miss it when it goes on hiatus for a season, which I would have seriously doubted after three or four episodes. […] Read more
Shakugan no Shana III – 10 After what was a pretty slow buildup, Shana III is certainly dispensing the action fast and furious now. Crimson Lords are kicking it fast and furious, with Fecor apparently eliminated last week and Purson being killed by Rebecca and Uvall by Shana this week. […] Read more
Kimi to Boku – 10 I’ll give this series credit – it knows exactly what the target audience is, and goes straight for the jugular. Yet another cross-dressing ep this week, as it’s culture festival time. KtB manages to get all but Yuki (who was himself dressed as Ketaro for […] Read more
Shakugan no Shana III – 09 Alas, poor Fecor – we knew him well. It appears as if our goatish friend (who frankly always seemed a bit of a bumbler to me, and was generally dissed by The Trinity) was offed by Tenroku, the mystes who created the Nietono no […] Read more
Kimi to Boku – 09 Kimi to Boku has really turned into a pretty decent slice-of-life series. I don’t know why I didn’t realize it sooner, but Kaname is almost a perfect tsundere – I guess even a group of guys is allowed to have one, but he really […] Read more
Shakugan no Shana III – 08 This was very much a continuation of last week’s fast-paced episode, and seems to confirm that we’ve moved past the setup phase and into full-on conflict. That battle is playing out on many fronts, with the Crimson Denizens attacking Outlaw all over the world […] Read more
Slice of life Tuesday time again… Tamayura Hitotose – 08 I think I’ve realized one reason I’m having a hard time bonding with Tamayura. Shows where the characters smile too much annoy me – call it a pet peeve if you want, but it feels unnatural. It bothered me in […] Read more
