I know this is a business trip, but it’s New Orleans and Mardi Gras is starting – I mean, come on, I’m not a monk. So I have to be up in 6 hours and this is a short one by necessity. But never let it be said that Miira no Kaikata isn’t a complete delight.
- First off, 8bit (which nailed it with Shounen Maid) is doing an incredible job with this series. And that’s includes the tragically uncredited seiyuu playing Mii-kun and now Conny, whose vocal contributions are not to be underestimated.
- Mii-kun is still the most kawaii creature of the season, but Conny (Ko-oni – heh) isn’t far behind. Those thumb-ups accompanied by that tiny grunt just kill me.
- It seems only fitting that Tazuki – a tsundere with a tsundere imouto – should get a tsundere mythical beast.
- That whole business about magical children spreading info about kind and trustworthy humans is a really interesting twist I didn’t see coming. It certainly explains Tazuki’s blasé reaction to Ko-oni’s appearance.
- “Beans would probably be a bad idea” – ROFL.
- Conny and Mii-kun frolicking together – I mean, seriously.
- Sushi rolling too…
- The thing with the dragon and the scars – obviously we haven’t seen the last of that storyline.
- I’m really growing to love this show. For low-key quirky humor and sheer kawaii, it’s hard to beat.
