Let’s kick off the new year with a commission (we love those). Dark Flame Master (he has another project coming up as well) asked me to do a senryuu (a more light-hearted haiku) about my favorite Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu moments. This is devilishly hard, because with 136 brilliant chapters in the books, how am I supposed to limit myself to 17 syllables (and without spoiling to boot)? It’s obviously a fool’s errand to even try, but I’m going to do a couple of them anyway.

January 5, 2024 at 1:28 amNiiiice, thank you!! I’m just burning through vols5, 6, and 7 and enjoying the heck out of them (the speech! that basketball moment! the whole white day thing!) Sensei is a superb storyteller. But the EN publication schedule means, I assume, that there will be surprises for those of us not reading JN. The foreshadowing is killing me. I feel really badly for anyone who bounced off ep 1 or the first volume.
