A heartfelt thanks to everyone who stepped up to help me keep LiA alive for another year – your support is deeply appreciated. Patron reward #1, the AMA, is in the books – now it’s time for Round 2.
The idea here is very simple – LiA patrons nominated classic anime they’d like to see me do a Series Review post on, and now you get to vote. One vote per reader this time – I’ll leave the poll up for about a week. Again, all of these are nominations from patrons – all I did was veto shows I hadn’t seen (or didn’t remember well enough). Faux outrage aside, that’s a fine list to choose from. Post-Miyazaki, I think a review of Dennou Coil would be fascinating.

January 27, 2019 at 10:04 pmThe aforementioned – a wonderful series that, like Moribito, is known but simply deserves more recognition- and Michiko to Hatchin. Granted, a lot of the anime I was watching at the time was rather cookie-cutter, but the style consistently blew me away, even when the story (which still served its purpose) petered out.

After much debate, I ended up choosing Dennou Coil, not because it’s my absolute favorite, but because it tends to be a series I like that I don’t think I’ve ever really seen anyone review in detail

Requesting the desktop version of the site didn’t change anything. Private mode or regular mode doesn’t change anything either. But I’ll try to get on a computer the next few days

February 1, 2019 at 8:09 amOkay, so apparently the problem lay with firefox? Because I couldn’t see the poll on my laptop either… but using a different browser it finally worked. (Just thought I let you know even if I’m still not sure what exactly caused this seeing how my settings are different on mobile and laptop and my extensions are different too… but alas at least it worked with a different browser)

Come to think of it, there was practically no coverage for MtH. If I remember correctly, RC covered 2-3 episode from the middle.
