I guess since Boku Dake ga Inai Machi – which puts us on better than two years. But you chose Banana Fish in a landslide. I’m not surprised it won, but I am I bit surprised by the sheer margin. Shingeki no Kyoujin (sigh) was a very distant second, and my two top picks, Planet With and High Score Girl, trailed in third. All in all I still think this looks like a crap season going in, but if the top dogs end up being legit classics, that would make up for a lack of depth in a big way.

July 4, 2018 at 8:21 amYeah, to be honest, the only show (that’s not a sequel) that I’m looking forward to is Planet With, and well… even then I’ve got some caveats. Banana Fish just ain’t my style of show. This season will probably allow me to fill up on my older anime backlog though.
