Patreon Scraps Fee Changes

A note to all of LiA’s generous supporters – but especially
to anybody who decided to drop Patreon because of their (absurd) fee changes:

First of all – I totally get it. And I thank you for being a LiA supporter all this time. But happily, Patreon has decided (thanks to the huge outcry) not to implement those changes – so I hope you’ll come back! Clearly Patreon underestimated the anger these fee changes would elicit from patrons supporting small creators like me – creators who would (and did) lose patrons disgusted by the huge increase in fees they’d be paying under the new proposed system.

I’m extremely grateful to everyone who supports LiA. In addition to the massive amount of time I put into the site, my hosting fees have jumped dramatically this year and maintaining the site is increasingly an iffy financial proposition for me. I’m happy to see Patreon remain an option and again, if you dropped it I hope you’ll reconsider. But either way we still have other avenues – Paypal (one-time or subscription), the Amazon links, even the ads.

As always, thanks to everyone who visits LiA – whether you support the site financially, actively contribute through your comments or just stop by to read, I’m sincerely grateful to all of you.

Stay frosty,

Enzo
