Like Sankarea, Kaminai is proving itself to be the one zombie series to watch this year if you watch only one. Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi – 05 I’m not inclined to blog either of these series in digest form going forward, but for this week I’ll need to make a […] Read more
At last the true mystery of Danganronpa is revealed – why does Naegi-kun sleep with his shoes on? Danganronpa: The Animation – 02 I’m still undecided about whether to blog this series, but for now at least I’m going to continue watching it just for the enjoyable silliness. I’m not […] Read more
Tamayura really ought to come with either a warning label or an insulin shot. Brother’s Conflict – 01 I confess I didn’t make it through the premiere of Brother’s Conflict. It only took me about three minutes to figure out that this was not working for me in any way, […] Read more
Han Megumi is all mixed up with giant bugs everywhere you look these days… Haiyore! Nyaruko-san W – 11 All in all I think this was one of the livelier and funnier eps of the second season of Haiyore!, with Nyaruko at probably the least annoying she’s been at any […] Read more
Sengoku warlords just keep turning up in the strangest places. Haiyore! Nyaruko-san – 10 I’ll say this much for Haiyore! Nyaruko-san, it’s definitely embraced the stupid unreservedly again. It’s nice to be right from time to time. Haiyore! Nyaruko-san W – 09 Another fairly forgettable episode of Haiyore this week, though it was just about saved with some more fireworks between Kuuko and Mahiro there at the end. I think one issue with this series is that among […] Read more
She’s back, whether you want her or not… Haiyore! Nyaruko-san W – 08 It’s official: I pretty much like everyone better as a potential romantic partner for Mahiro than Nyaruko – including a guy, his mother and now a Shantak. Nothing too fancy going on with Haiyore! this week, but […] Read more
Yep, definitely still in Kuuko’s camp. Haiyore! Nyaruko-san – 07 Not even Cthulhu Deities are immune from the immutable power of table tennis, but Haiyore! is back after its short hiatus this week with a pool episode that pretty much continues the theme and style of the second season uninterrupted. […] Read more
I don’t think I reacted to this development in Haiyore! as I was intended to. Haiyore! Nyaruko-san W – 06 I don’t tend to think much of the episodes where Haiyore! Nyaruko-san tries to get serious, but this is one of the better examples so far. It certainly isn’t thanks […] Read more
Cyclone! Haiyore! Nyaruko-san W – 05 I haven’t generally been all that crazy about the character-driven episodes of Haiyore! – or is the plot-driven ones? In any event, less drive and more comedy is usually the forumla for success here, but for an ep that was plot and character heavy […] Read more
