Nope.
I really should trust my instincts more, but somehow I wanted to think this might be better than the usual LN “fantasy” wish-fulfillment tripe with an endless title. The best I can say is I’ve seen worse, but DanMachi is pretty grim. It’s sexist in that “demeaning to both sexes” way that only LNs can be. It’s based on a stupid premise and the exposition is clumsy. The acting is mannered and self-aware. In short – it’s bad. Maybe not awful, but not good for damn sure.
If this is your sort of thing (and if it is, I kind of doubt you’re reading this) I think you safely proceed knowing exactly what you’re going to get. The production values are tolerable and the character designs push the right buttons. But it’s not for me, so Godspeed…

April 4, 2015 at 1:34 pmI'll admit I did groan pretty heavily at both the line about 'protecting a weak girl', and that scene with the requisite jerk mouthing off at the bar. Oh, light novels!
I do find it pretty to look at and quite cute, so I'll probably stick it out for a while. Though if the production takes a dive I'll probably bail pretty fast
