The table thing is far too impersonal for my taste, and completely ruins the point of images – to separate large walls of text.
Think about it – if people haven't seen an episode of a show yet, why are they reading your post on it? It's just going to spoil them! If they aren't watching the anime, why do they need to see pictures of/read about it? They're not watching it!
The only people who will actually read any posts are the ones who completed the entire anime, and those who have done that have seen every frame, every picture that you could possibly put up!
Which makes pictures as a way for telling the plot completely pointless, and that's the only advantage putting pictures in a table is (actually, another minor one is that if people are looking behind you, it's better for them to see a large block of text than possibly nsfw images, but that doesn't happen to anybody except me).
Really, that's why I think the only types of pictures that should be uploaded on any blogs are ones that have been altered to show something, ones with a witty remark as a caption, ones meant to remind us of an unmemorable situation, or ones meant to just break the wall of text.
Hello GE, i'm an avid fan in RC. I thought of seeing your blog since you put a link there. I must say i'm glad to meet you. As you know RC as a lot of anime being blog but sometime some anime like hoshizora and tiger&bunny is not being blog. I don't blame them as they can't possibly blog all the anime know to manking. Well just glad i could find another anime blogger that are good.
Now for you question. Is it too much to ask if you could follow RC format. If not adding a bit more picture will be good. Cause you see i been follow RC for years and sorta getting used to it. I will follow your blog from now onward.
Thank you, Ikaze. I'm enjoying seeing some different opinions about images and the like – I can't promise I'll radically change things but I'm considering all options.
I like the way you have it formatted right now. It think it's easier to read, like Mushyrulez mentioned, and I think it's easier to refer to pictures if you have it right next to it. I mean, if you go with the wall of photos you could always link them I suppose…
I loved Game of Thrones! I can't wait to see you blog that.
Incidentally, I did tweak the site a bit – I widened both the main and sidebar columns somewhat. Not too drastic, but anyone have an opinion one way or the other?
I like your format right now. Also I think it would be better if the beginning picture would fit the side to cover the blank space. Seeing that some space aren't been used makes me feel that its missing something there.
i personly like the way you do it now also are you watching kaiji at the moment just curious? i read alot of your posts and thought it would be cool to see your input about it (as its one of my favorite animes at the moment) anyways i also love the colors here very pleasing to the eyes 😀
Thanks, Shirt. Anon – I haven't been following Kaji. Just didn't grab me enough to fit into a very tight schedule. I may try and watch it after the fact, if time allows.
Have you thought of using Highslide to link images? It'll certainly look more polished than regular linking (which loads a separate page and sometimes doesn't resize images).
Fantastic blog! Do you have any helpful hints for aspiring writers? I'm hoping to start my own blog soon but I'm a little lost on everything. Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option?
There are so many choices out there that I'm completely confused .. Any recommendations? Thanks a lot! Also see my web site: nick jr dora the explorer
