Just to bring everyone up to speed, not only am I travelling in Kyuushu this weekend and early next week, I forgot my Macbook adapter in Fukuoka. So I have one charge I can use up on this thing till I get it back (the hotel is sending it). That being the case, I’m not sure how much I’ll be able to post – my apologies if the next few days are slow!

August 21, 2018 at 7:53 amI live in Kyushuu! I hope you enjoy your stay here. It’s not as popular as other regions but very homey 🙂

August 21, 2018 at 6:18 pmI’m in Kumamoto! I got here 2 years ago for work and it’s been surreal.
Though I die a little inside when there’s new anime with no subtitles and manga I can’t read!
But I’m hanging in there as I watched the new Hero Aca Movie and I got 85% of it (though it had easy high school Japanese).

August 21, 2018 at 6:48 pmDidn’t make it there this time, but would like to in the future. Really liked Nagasaki (though yesterday was HOT), Hakata/Fukuoka and Unzen.
Where you in Kumamoto for the earthquake event? That was in ’16 as I recall.

August 23, 2018 at 6:52 pmI came in a few months after it happened. Thankfully, where I live there wasn’t much damage but the central city took a big hit especially the castle.
Which part of Japan do you hail from, Enzo?

August 23, 2018 at 7:59 pmMy first time around it was Tokyo, followed by a few months in Kyoto. This time it’s Kobe.
