September 24, 2020 at 6:57 amInteresting episode, even though what I liked the most (what I like in general about that podcast) is to learn things that I wasn’t expecting about you (plural). And that time, the great prize was for me hearing that you used to appreciate “Fairy tale” Guardian Enzo. The Lucy comment was even another nail in the coffin (not the final one, luckily for me). I started to think that you were possessed. XD
On another matter, as I did not find a Notaku page on anime-evo, I will write it there (sorry I do not use twitter/youtube accounts etc.) regarding “Dai non daibouken” and what Setsuken said. Again, I stress the fact that “Dai” only has the Dragon quest brand and the setup of Heroic (with capital “H”) fantasy great adventure. But it doesn’t really have an RPG or video games like contrary to the Dragon quest manga made by Enix (after Enix created its own manga magazines). Of course, due to the setup and its seniority, it spouses some codes.
Actually, in France, while “Dai” has been a huge commercial success, the “emblem of Roto” saga (made by Enix) wasn’t that much and that latter has a waaay stronger RPGesque story-telling.
Talking about curiosity, I have a question (even though I don’t know if you need more at that moment), but we hear you about anime but not music/song of anime. So I will just limit myself to openings and only the last year (so Fall 2019-Summer 2020) as a new one is starting: what was your most prefered opening song? (I precise song, not animated).
BTW, I hope that you appreciate the late annouced voice for Beastars cast…(I am eagerly waiting for the day of that discussion with Setusken about” your evil”).

September 24, 2020 at 8:55 amYou don’t appreciate Lucy? Sacre blublu!
I will pass your Dragon Quest comment along to Setsuken. As for questions, we are always looking for more – I can’t promise to fit every one in every week, but we’ll do our damnedest to get to all of them as soon as we can.
Kaji rarely ruins series for me in supporting roles, and Pina is a supporting role. Not thrilling news but I’ll get over it.

September 24, 2020 at 5:16 pmQuestion: are you even moderately curious about the new Anime from Bones? The one about the skateboard.
Guardian Enzo
September 24, 2020 at 7:49 pmModerately is about where I’d put it. I’m just surprised no one has made a sk8er boy anime before, but I can’t think of one.

September 25, 2020 at 9:42 amI know what I’m watching this weekend, that’s for sure! So cool they’re releasing it in the US. I guess I won’t (only) torrent that one! 😛
I had prepared a whole list of questions for you guys, you sounded like you wanted some so bad… I guess I’ll hold off for now.
This is now officially my favorite podcast to listen to while working out (I was gonna say “while at the gym” like it was still a thing…). The only problem: not enough podcast for the whole week! 😉
Thanks!

September 25, 2020 at 9:49 amFantastic – thanks so much! Subscribe, like, review, that’s all I can say – let’s get the word out.
As for questions,, by all means let me have it – but if you want to do it a couple per week, that would be ideal. We’re certainly saving every question if there’s a backlog but it’s easier if I don’t get them all at once.

September 27, 2020 at 12:08 pmDone! I opened the podcast app on my mac for the first time today just to subscribe, rate, and review Notaku in there. I never used it before… 😛 (I’m more of an Overcast kinda guy)
Guardian Enzo
September 27, 2020 at 1:03 pmROFL, we’re on Overcast too.
Be sure and check out the next release, you’re in there. But if you have more Qs for next week send ’em along.

September 29, 2020 at 9:59 amI added your podcast to Overcast manually before it was even coming up in the search results (podcasts are basically RSS feeds pointing to audio files so as long as you got the right URL, you can add anything you want). I just used the Apple app because I assume that’s where you need the review/ratings… 😉

September 29, 2020 at 10:35 amYeah, that’s a good spot for them, much appreciated.
