This arc is beginning to look very familiar…
It’s tomorrow morning already, and if I wasn’t already exhausted from the last few days, this tortoise-like posting routine would be bad enough. So sorry DRRR, but it’s gonna be a brief one. Basically, it feels to me as if we’re going back to the beginning here – though of course, that’s not at all a bad thing.
- Masaomi getting back in the game.
- Izaya generally pissing off everyone, but especially Shizuo.
- Gang wars heating up on the streets, and Mikado feeling in over his head and battling his own adrenaline-junkie tendencies.
Can you go home again? Well, I did like DRRR better during its first season, though some of these developments echo the less-successful second cour more than the stellar first. Still, a feeling of nostalgia developing for me isn’t a negative development – maybe I’m just getting back into the Durarara mindset a little more. We’ll see how it goes from here.

March 2, 2015 at 6:44 pmIts hard to talk about this series. I like how unique the characters are, but I'm not as as engaged in the story as I used to be. Well it is 3 cour so here is hoping for the hook I'm looking for.
