This season’s poll comes with a big disclaimer.

The total number of votes cast in this poll is down quite a bit from Fall, though I don’t think that’s too much of a surprise.  I’m covering fewer series this season, and next season is one of the least-anticipated ever.  Hopefully Spring sees a turnaround in more ways than one.

There’s a caveat with this poll – Death Parade.  It wasn’t announced as a Winter series until several days after the preview was posted, and so it started out at a huge numerical disadvantage.  Despite that it steadily climbed from the moment I added it to the poll, finishing a hard-charging 7th.  I suspect it would have been much higher if it has been a candidate from the beginning.

Again we see sequels dominating the top of the poll, a growing trend in recent seasons.  Durarara is the big winner, with Yuri Kuma Arashi (which somehow feels like a sequel to Mawaru Penguin Drum) the top-ranking original series.
