No question, this series has the most disturbing previews of the season. Hands-down. And some of the most disturbing fantasy sequences as well…

While remarkably little happens in any given episode of Hoshizora, there was some incremental progress in what passes for an overall plot. Basically, as far as I can tell we have two harems:

Ayumu’s harem: Daigo, Kazuma, Sakai. The moe otaku, the brocon and the perv.

Kazuma’s harem: Everyone, pretty much, but mainly Madoka, Ui and Hinata. The miko, the chowhound and the tsundere.

Not sure how this is all going to turn out, but given Ui’s placement in the ED it’s hard to pick against her. Meanwhile we got our obligatory beach episode with our obligatory watermelon splitting (predictable results), shota fanservice and jiggly breasts. And really, with Hoshizora, it’s your own fault if you expected anything else. Frankly, no other show does what this show does better. Or at all.
