I’ll be honest – I don’t have a whole lot to say about this week’s “Shana”. It was fine – a little slow at times, but pleasant enough. A flame haze got offed in the first few minutes, we met a bunch of new characters in Bal Maque – a furry, a shota and a headless bird – and some old ones, like the compassionate “Corpse Collector”, Lamis (Kiyokawa Motomu). Yuji showed off two voices in his new body, alternating between his Yuji voice and his Sairei no Hebi voice (the great Hayamai Sho). Shana daydreamed while sparring with Margery, and Satou screamed like a little girl and scared a dude on the train to Tokyo when his denizen detector went off. Turned out the denizen was on the train going the other way, back towards home. And when it arrives, onto the platform steps Yuji himself, back in his schoolboy form – or what looks like him, anyway. Honestly, I don’t know just what’s happening there and I’ll keep watching to find out – but this may be a series I blog sporadically, when something especially interesting happens.
