  1. Dammit, I'll make you lot love Natsume Yuujinchou before I'm done!!

LOL well, at least we know what you'll be certainly blogging at least 😛

Anyway, Penguin Drum is history in the making, with Ikuhara finally abandoning the glorious life of doing nothing for 15 years other than storyboarding miscellaneous anime opening to make an actual series. Plus, the penguins are cute, seriously I want to take them home HUNNGGGGGGGG

Natsume 3 is a given, Drop is a given, Kamisama Dolls you will drop anyway because NEET is more interesting, Sacred Seven you are most likely not going to keep going with them for long as it's Scryed meets prettier boys and substantially more women, and Blood-C will lose to continuing with Snore no Exorcist.

So all my votes are worthless!

Joking aside, I'm interested to see what you have to say about Penguin Drum as a non Utena watcher.

  3. As I said in the preview, an Ikuhara series is a serious event that deserves to be taken seriously. I will give it a minimum of three eps before deciding.

My hunch is that I'll like Kamisama Dolls – sleeper potential. Good people involved. Blood-C is another serious proposition that will get at least 3 eps to catch me. I enjoyed the Blood-verse and I'm an unabashed I.G. fanboy (though they're testing me lately). As for Sacred Seven, I confess I probably wouldn't be too focused on it if it weren't Sunrise – but Sunrise is another studio I'll generally give a courtesy trial to unless the premise totally turns me off.

"Kami-sama no Memou-chou" looks promising. Give us your first impressions at least!

I voted some days ago, but I guess that I should leave some comment.
I voted for Mawaru Penguin Drum, Usagi Drop, No. 6, Ikoku Meiro no Croisee and Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni!, Natsume Yuujinchou San. The reasons why I voted for these shows are very different.

Mawaru Penguin Drum looks like an interesting and a bit mysterious series. I will watch at least some episodes and I would like to read your blog posts about this show.
Usagi Drop… I like the first part of manga and it is noitaminA, so there would be no way I would miss this. I would be interested to read the opinion of someone who doesn’t follow the manga.
No. 6… the story sounds interesting, pictures looks good, it is noitaminA, there is no reason why I won’t give this show a try.
Ikoku Meiro no Croisee… The setting of his show really piqued my interest. The art looks lovely. I will give this show a try and I would follow your post.
These are the four shows I will probably follow this summer and I would follow your blog posts for all of these shows as I really appreciate them. You often express the little things I feel when watching a show but cannot find the right words for (even in my mother tongue), so I enjoy reading them very much.

I also voted for Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni!, even when I probably won’t watch the show this summer. I watched the first season and although I enjoyed the first half of the show I found the last part a bit repetitive. But I would definitely follow your blog post for this show because I don’t mind to be spoiled in this case.

And last but definitely not least I voted for Natsume Yuujinchou San. I must admit I will not be watching this show this summer and I won’t even read your blog posts, but not because I don’t like this anime.
I love Natsume Yuujinchou. It is just I love the manga a little bit more, so I don’t want the anime to spoil me. But I really like your blog post you made about the anime. So spread the love for Natsume Yuujinchou, it deserves all the attention it can get.
For all the other series I have not voted for, I would read your first impressions posts, just to make sure I won’t be missing the most interesting series of the season.

Sorry for all the mistakes I made, English is not my favorite language. ^^

  6. Thanks for the comments, all…

Anon: Kami-sama no Memou-chou was in the Summer PV, so I'll definitely do a "first impressions" at the very least. And unless I hate the premiere I usually give a show at least two eps to draw my interest.

I'm not a huge JC Staff fan, and I don't see anything in looking at the staff list that screams "quality". But I do like the premise (apparently this was around before Gosick, which it resembles) so I'll give it a fair shot!

  7. Wow – Blood-C is just lapping the field here. Most have a lot of pasta eaters in the readership… 😉

  8. A

Or we really like Clamp slash fic's 😛

It's interesting that Blood-C is having this much of an early lead, but no matter … in 10 more days, the Penguin shall rise and enslave man kind, and Penguin Drum will also have an actual CM to show (hopefully?)

But at the moment, it looks like we need to get accustomed to the taste of pasta …

Voted Natsume Yūjinchō San, Kami-sama no Memō-chō, and Ikoku Meiro no Croisee.

It was a bit difficult for me to pick since I'm probably going to follow a good majority of the anime that season >.<

  10. Thanks for voting, Marinasauce. There's a pretty good chance I'll cover all three of those – I think Ikoku Meiro and NY (obviously) are locks.

  11. A

Of course if you find other animes interesting (*coug* Dantalian no Shoka *cough*), give us your reviews

  12. I'll be covering Dantalion for sure, don't worry. I may have an exciting announcement on the way about the summer season soon…

Okay, before the start of this season. I voted for Usagi drop, No. 6 and Kamisama doll to be the anime I most anticipated.

Currently the anime I find to be most interesting will be Usagi drop, No. 6 ,Ikoku Meiro no Croisee(YUNE),Mawaru Penguin Drum.

I suppose having 2/3 correct is sorta a good result. Kamisama doll is disappointing but it does seem going to change in a few episode time. Even if it does, it probably won't be my top anime.
